2017 Annual UK Proof Coin Set

Description

The Royal Mint Deluxe Commemorative Proof Coin Set of 2017 comprises thirteen coins of the present coinage of the United Kingdom all struck to the Royal Mint’s Proof quality.

Included is the new £5 Five Pound Coins commemorating the 1000th Anniversary of King Canute and House of Windsor Centenary, Two new £2 Two Pound Coins, the first commemorating the 200th Anniversary of Jane Austen and the second coin continues the First World War Series and commemorates Aviation.

Also included is the new 50p Fifty Pence Coin which commemorates the Sir Isaac Newton.
Also included in this set is the new twelve sided £1 One Pound Coin and Matthew Dent’s Royal Shield of Arms coinage from 50p down to the 1p One Pence Coin.
All the coins have the stunning portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse by Jody Clark.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
