Description
In 2013 for the first time ever the Royal Mint released the Brilliant Uncirculated Britannia £2 Two Pound Silver Coin which will be struck in solid fine .999 Silver weighing one ounce of fine pure Silver.
The reverse designed by Robert Hunt depicts Britannia facing left as is traditional, but turns her upper body in a listening pose with an Owl perched on her knee which is a traditional symbol of wisdom.
The obverse has Ian Rank Broadley’s portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
