Description

Each 2007 1 oz Australian Lunar Pig will arrive in a protective plastic flip to ensure your coin’s condition isn’t tarnished during transit. Don’t miss adding this low-mintage, .999 fine silver coin to your portfolio.

The Perth Mint’s prestigious Lunar Series began in 1996 with the Year of the Rat. Silver coins were later added in 1999. When the Rat year cycled back in 2008, Series II launched, followed by Series III in 2020. For 2007’s Year of the Pig, a total of 8 different sizes were minted from 1/2 oz to an impressive 10 kilos.

Ian Rank-Broadley’s right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II graces the obverse of this 2007 1 oz Australian Lunar Pig Coin. Her Majesty is seen in right-profile relief as identifying marks of the coin surround her.

The reverse of this 2007 Australian Silver Lunar Pig Coin features a pig standing amidst the foliage, gazing at the Chinese character for “pig” along with the year, weight, and purity inscriptions.
