Monnaie de Paris marks the 65^th anniversary of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ One Hundred and One Dalmatians in 2026.

Released in 1961, One Hundred and One Dalmatians tells the story of Pongo, a Dalmatian who brings together his owner Roger and Anita, the owner of the elegant Perdita. After Perdita gives birth to fifteen puppies, the villain Cruella de Vil has them kidnapped in a scheme to make a Dalmatian fur coat. Using the Twilight Bark, a citywide canine communication network, Pongo and Perdita track the stolen puppies to Cruella’s country estate, where they discover many others. The dogs escape with ninety-nine puppies, which Roger and Anita adopt, forming a family of 101 Dalmatians.
