Commemorative Crowns are issued almost every year, and only the most special events receive this honour.
After last years Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the anniversary of the Coronation was quite low key. Members of the Royal Family attended a service at Westminster Abbey, where the Queen had been crowned 60 years previously.
The obverse reverts back to the fourth portrait of the Queen designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, and introduced in 1998.
