Description
Renowned for shaping and defining the progressive rock genre, Pink Floyd are one of the most influential bands in rock history. The band’s experimental sound matured during the 1970s, the decade in which they wrote one of the greatest rock albums of all time, The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), followed by more timeless classics that include Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977) and The Wall (1979).
Despite changes to the line-up and periods of hiatus over the decades, the band’s popularity and influence endure. Now, The Royal Mint pays tribute to the group’s inimitable legacy with a design depicting the iconic prism from The Dark Side of the Moon, framed within the canvas of a UK coin
