This is the second of four £5 coins from the Royal Mint in the lead up to the 2012 Olympic Games, with one coin released every year. Issued in 2010 it features a unique design displaying the number 2 to represent the 3,2,1 countdown to London 2012, designed in harmony with an image of two runners racing to the finishing line. The coin also incorporates the Official London 2012 logo.
