Description

In 1965 to commemorate the Death of Sir Winston Churchill, the Royal Mint released a Limited Issue Winston Churchill 5 Five Shilling Crown Coin.

The reverse designed by Mary Gillick depicts a portrait of Sir Winston Churchill while the obverse designed by Oscar Nemon features the young laur head of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with “ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F. D. 1965”.
