1976 and 1978 USA Circulated Dollars

1976: Eisenhower Bicentennial Dollar, featuring a special double date (1776–1976) to celebrate the 200th anniversary of American independence

1978: Eisenhower Dollar (often called the “Ike” dollar). It features President Dwight D. Eisenhower on the front and an Apollo 11 moon landing insignia (an eagle landing on the moon) on the back. This was the final year the U.S. Mint made this large coin design.
