1989 UK Commemorative £2 Coin Set A twin £2 coin set by the Royal Mint. Housing both commemorative £2 coins minted in 1989. Issued to celebrate the tercentenary of the Bill of Rights & Claim of Right, the bill was passed by parliament in 1689. It marked an historic shift of power from the monarchy to parliament.
The coin designs show a parliamentary mace, interlinked with the Royal cypher of King William and Queen Mary. The Bill of Rights coin shows St.Edward’s crown, the Claim of Right coin has the crown of Scotland. Both are minted to a flawless brilliant uncirculated finish, brilliant uncirculated coins have no contact marks or surface scratches, far superior to the normal circulation coinage .
Housed in a glossy descriptive presentation folder. Everything is in excellent condition. A very collectable set with two scarce UK coins
