In 1990, to celebrate the 90th Birthday of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, the Royal Mint released a Limited Issue Brilliant Uncirculated Queen Mother 90th Birthday £5 Five Pound Coin Pack.

The reverse designed by Leslie Durbin, portrays a cypher in the form of a letter “E” for Elizabeth in duplicate and interlaced, flanked by a rose and thistle.
The obverse design features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the denomination “Five Pounds” designed by Raphael Maklouf.
