Coin Designs
The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and inscriptions that include ELIZABETH II, 2 DOLLARS 2007 and AUSTRALIA. Though the coin was produced to honor 2008 as the year of the mouse, it was actually minted in 2007, so it bears two different dates.
The reverse features a mouse with inscriptions 2008 and 2 OZ 999 SILVER. The Chinese character for “Mouse” also appear in the design.
