2009 Britannia Collection Silver Proof 4-Coin Set

In 2009 the Royal Mint released a very special Limited Issue Britannia Silver Proof 4 Coin Set struck in solid fine .958 Silver and includes the £2 Two Pound, £1 One Pound, 50p Fifty Pence and 20p Twenty Pence Coins.

All four coins feature the dynamic portrayal of Britannia created by Philip Nathan for the coins of 1997, the only other time it has previously featured on the silver Britannia coins.
The 2009 collection, therefore, represents the first time that this design has been combined on a silver coin with the portrait of Her Majesty the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
