In 2015 to celebrate the Royal Birth of Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, Sister of Prince George of Cambridge, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Royal Birth £5 Five Pound Silver Proof Coin struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver.
The reverse design reflects the coin struck for the Royal Christening of Baby Prince George by John Bergdahl and the obverse is the new Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
