The Pre-Owned 2018 Australian Lunar 1oz Silver Proof Coin celebrates the Year of the Dog, one of 12 animals associated with the ancient Chinese lunar calendar.
The coin features a German Shephard dog & pup, lying amongst the grass and peony flowers. The design also incorporates the Chinese character for Dog and the inscription ‘Year of the Dog’; The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark is also included in the design.
The coin’s obverse depicts Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year-date, weight, fineness and the monetary denomination.
