As part of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022, Paddington Bear was invited to a very special evening at Buckingham Palace, full of tea and marmalade sandwiches!

But it was in 2018 that Paddington first met the Queen, as he visited Buckingham Palace on a brand new 50p coin! Issued by The Royal Mint in 2018, this coin celebrates the 60th anniversary of this iconic British Bear.

This was the second 50p in the series, which was one the most sought-after 50p series ever!

The coins are based on the modern adaptation from the CGI-live action movie, featuring Paddington waving a Union Flag outside Buckingham Palace.
