2019 50 Years of the 50p – Proof Set – British Culture with Kew

In 2019 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the first 50p Coin, the Royal Mint released a very special Limited Issue British Culture 50p Fifty Pence Proof 5 Coin Set.

Bringing together 5 different past designs that have featured on the 50p Fifty Pence Coin since its introduction in 1969, all 5 coins bear the Fifth Portrait of the Queen by Jody Clark and all carry the 2019 date.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
