2019 Reissue Battle of Britain UK Proof 50p Coin in Quadrum

Description

In 2019 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the first UK 50p Fifty Pence Coin, the Royal Mint released a very special Limited Issue Battle of Britain 50p Fifty Pence Proof Coin.

The reverse designed by Gary Breeze depicts airmen scrambling to their planes while the obverse features the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
