Description
This splendid 1 Oz Silver coin is dedicated to the White Sturgeon, a rare and precious animal special to China. The coin has a peculiar shape, has Antique Finish quality and comes in a presentation case, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage of 2.022 pcs worldwide.
The reverse of the coin represents the body of the White Sturgeon, the large carnivorous fish living in the Yangtze River, declared extinct on December 23, 2019. The obverse of the coin shows the skeleton of the fish as if the animal was observed in section. On the obverse also the Coat of Arms of Fiji, with the inscriptions: “FIJI” – the issuing country, “2023” – the year of issue, “1 Dollar” – the face value and “Chinese Paddlefish” – the common name for the extinct animal.
