Description
In Chinese culture, this mythical animal symbolises power, nobility and success. Natives of the sign of the Dragon are therefore naturally charismatic people to whom good fortune often smiles.
Surrounded by a circle with traditional Chinese motifs, a dragon appears right in the centre of the face. The head and the front of the animal’s body protrude from the circle. The representation of the dragon is inspired by classical Chinese iconography and highlights the powerful and charismatic side of this legendary creature. The ideogram of the dragon appears on its body. The year 2024 and the inscription ‘Year of the Dragon’ appear at the top, in the outermost circle.
On the reverse, all the animals of the Chinese zodiac appear on a screen surrounding a traditional temple door. A complete cycle of the Chinese zodiac begins in 2018 and lasts until 2029. Each of these twelve years therefore features an animal from this calendar. The face
