Ten host cities including Berlin, Cologne and Frankfurt to name a few during the tournament which opens on the 14th June and closes with Berlin’s Olympiastadion hosting the final on Sunday the 14th July 2024.
The silver proof and colour coins depict on the reverse an image of a footballer in action off the ground and as he kicks a soccer ball – perhaps scoring the game’s winning goal. The logo of the tournament which denotes Germany as this year’s host is shown above the player. Surrounding the central area, the shape of the stadium’s roof and the stands of a soccer stadium are reproduced in colour and with the flags representing the national teams. In the centre is the coins’ denomination of 10 EURO with the distinctive mintmark of the Spanish Royal Mint, a crowned ‘M’ located just to the lower left. The obverse includes a left-facing effigy of HM King Felipe VI with the legend FELIPE VI REY DE ESPANA placed above his image. The year of issue, 2024 is seen below the King’s likeness.
