These beloved children’s books tell the adventures of Winnie the Pooh and his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood, which sometimes include visits from Christopher Robin, who was inspired by A.A. Milne’s son. The legacy of the stories about Pooh found new life through animations created by Disney, which saw the bear gain his iconic red shirt.
Now, The Royal Mint is proud to celebrate 100 years of Winnie the Pooh with a three-coin collection. The third and final coin in the collection celebrates friendship, a theme that strongly features throughout the children’s books written by A.A. Milne. The reverse of the coin features a design by The Walt Disney Company that depicts Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger.
