Description

The 2027 UK Britannia 30th Anniversary 1oz Silver Coin features the internationally recognised portrait of Britannia and is exclusive to The Royal Mint. The year 2027 marks the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the silver bullion coin featuring the iconic design by Philip Nathan. To celebrate the occasion The Royal Mint has included a ’30’ wave privy mark and the background texture showcases the anniversary number.

In recent years, the Britannia has also incorporated new security features to the traditional design, including: a laser engraved wave pattern and latent image marker, tincture lines, and a micro-text feature, making the coin much more difficult to duplicate.

The obverse of the coin bears the uncrowned portrait of King Charles III designed by sculptor Martin Jennings, along with the coin’s monetary denomination of 2 pounds.
