2003 Queen Coronation £5 Coin in Capsule

Description

One simple and very different commemorative crown was issued in 2003 to mark the Golden Jubilee (50 years since the coronation) of the Queen.

Both sides are by Tom Philips and are certainly a departure from the norm. A sketched style simple outline of the Queen with ‘GOD SAVE THE QUEEN’ as the central message on the reverse with non-standard lettering used on both sides.
