Description

In 1981 to celebrate the Royal Wedding of Lady Diana Spencer and Prince Charles of Wales, the Royal Mint released a special Limited Issue commemorative Royal Wedding Silver Proof Crown Coin struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver.

The reverse designed by Philip Nathan has the portraits of Lady Diana and Prince Charles while the obverse has the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II designed by Arnold Machin.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
