This is the third of four £5 coins from the Royal Mint in the lead up to the 2012 Olympic Games, with one coin released every year. Issued in 2011 it features a unique design displaying the number 1 to represent the 3,2,1 countdown to London 2012, designed in harmony with an image of a cyclist. The coin also incorporates the Official London 2012 logo.

2012:

This is the final £5 coin offered by the Royal Mint in the lead up to the 2012 Olympic Games, with one coin released every year. Issued in 2012 it features three Olympians standing on the winner’s podium. The coin also incorporates the Official London 2012 logo.
