2019 marks 50 years since the introduction of the world’s first seven-sided coin – the 50 pence piece.

Since its introduction in 1969, the 50p has become one of the most collected UK coins, featuring many different commemorative designs and launching a whole new generation of collectors.

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 50p, a BRAND NEW 50p coin has just been issued by Jersey Treasury and approved by Her Majesty the Queen.

This unique 50p coin includes Jersey’s first year of issue designs from 1969 – re-issued with the 2019 year date!
