2020 Estonia Tartu Peace Treaty UNC 2 Euro

This obverse of the 2 euro commemorative coin depicts a stylized tree symbolizing a young Estonian nation. On the branches, between the small leaves of the tree, you can see the inscription “TARTU RAHU” (the Treaty of Tartu).At the bottom, the name of the issuing state “EESTI” and the date of issue “2020” are depicted.

About the coin: The Estonian jury has approved the design of a two euro commemorative coin designed by graphic artist Ivar Sakk to commemorate the centenary of the Tartu Peace Treaty. The design of Ivar Sakko was approved after a public coin design competition. This two-euro coin will be issued in 2020. The Tartu Peace Treaty was signed between Estonia and Soviet Russia in 1920 February 2 Tartu. It established the eastern border of Estonia and ended the War of Independence.
