Description
The 2026 UK The Lion and The Eagle 1oz Silver Coin features two national icons, the British Lion and the American Eagle, united for the third year on a British coin.
The reverse of the coin features a new interpretation of the lion and the eagle, designed by engraver Jonathan Olliffe. The eagle is captured mid-soar, commanding the open sky, while the lion stands resolute upon the rugged rock, with its mane flowing in the wind. The coin’s weight, fineness and year-date are detailed in the outer ring of the design.
The obverse of the coin bears the uncrowned portrait of King Charles III designed by sculptor Martin Jennings, along with the coin’s monetary denomination.
