In 2003, to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Royal Mint released a Limited Issue Coronation $5 Five Dollar Silver Proof Coin struck in solid .925 Sterling Silver with the obverse portrait of Her Majesty the Queen plated in 24 Carat Gold on behalf of the issuing country of New Zealand.
