In 1999 the Royal Mint released a very special Limited Issue Brilliant Uncirculated Scottish Rampant Lion £1 One Pound Coin Pack.

The reverse, designed by Norman Sillman, depicts the Rampant Lion of Scotland and the obverse is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank Broadley.
