Description
The obverse of the coin features three singing children surrounded by musical lines, notes and national motifs. This obverse design was created by a drawing by the winner of the Estonian Bank Competition – 15-year-old high school student Grete-Lisette Gulbis. The year of mintage of the coin and the name of the country “2019 EESTI” are at the top. The outer side of the coin features twelve stars of the European Union.
About the coin:Â The coin is dedicated to commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Estonian Song Festival. The tradition of the Song Festival was born in 1869. The Song Festival in Tallinn is held every five years. 2014 More than 33,000 singers sang the audience at nearly 153,000 people.
