Description
The Estonian commemorative coin is dedicated to Ukraine and freedom.
The design was created by Daria Titova, a young war refugee from Kharkov, who is currently studying at the EKA (Estonian Academy of Arts). According to the author, she depicted a girl on the coin as a symbol of tenderness, which, in turn, protects the bird in her palm. The coin also depicts an ear. The card design was created by Vladimir Taiger.
By decision of the Council of the Bank of Estonia, the greeting “Glory to Ukraine” was added to the coin, symbolizing the independence and resilience of Ukraine, as well as the desire for freedom. For the first time, a coin of the Bank of Estonia has text in a foreign language. President of the Bank of Estonia Madis Muller said that the proceeds from the sale will be sent to the National Bank of Ukraine.
