Obverse:At the centre, the depiction of the Holy Door located at St. Peter’s Basilica. At the top, in an arch, the inscription “IUBILAEUM”, while at the bottom, also in an arch to close the Latin inscription, a series of alternating empty and full fish, symbol of Christianity. On the left, “2025”, the year the coin was minted and “R”, identifying the Mint of Rome; on the right, “RI”, acronym of the Italian Republic, and “C.M.”, initials of the designer Claudia Momoni. Arch-shaped, the twelve stars of the European Union.

Reverse: The reverse of the coin shows the denomination of 2 euros and depicts a map of Europe.
