Description
Continuing the momentum of the Bond films of the 2000s, the 2010s leading into the 2020s saw some incredible additions to the 007 franchise, including three stellar films that are revered by Bond fans around the world. This period also saw Daniel Craig, the longest-serving Bond actor to date, make an explosive exit from the franchise.
An era that featured some of the most memorable Bond films in the series, including Skyfall, Spectre and No Time To Die, the 2010s was undoubtedly a decade of 007 that will be remembered as one of the most momentous chapters in the franchise’s history. Join The Royal Mint as it celebrates these films and this iconic era of 007 with a UK coin.
Created by award-winning agency Bison Bison, the coin’s reverse design features the iconic plane that Bond uses in Spectre to pursue the hulking henchman Hinx down the Austrian slopes and rescue Dr Madeleine Swann. Once again surrounded by the ever-present gun barrel used in every Bond film opening, the design also features the 007 symbol stylised as it appeared in the 2010s, along with the titles of each of the decade’s Bond films in the background.
